ldren. Nashua held its first International Sculpture Symposium in 2008. Sculptors have come from many countries, including Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Peru, and Cuba. Seventeen granite or metal sculptures are now part of Nashuans’ everyday living. Nashua is the only city in the US that hosts an annual international sculpture symposium.

2023 marks the sixteenth year Nashua celebrates the Nashua International Sculpture Symposium. Professional sculptors from many countries, such as Mongolia, the Republic of Georgia, and Korea will each create a large granite or metal sculpture as a gift to the City. The Symposium is a collaborative endeavor of the Symposium Board of Directors, the City of Nashua, NH State Council on the Arts, and the Nashua Arts Commission.
