Painting and camping trip to Carter Caves in Kentucky. Some are better then others. Im a fan of moss and tree trunks...still not sold on leaves or rocks yet. Also enjoyed the Tygarts State Forest to escape people for a bit. Worth it!

Racoons were horrifying to hear at 2am in the middle of the woods...I'd rather have a bear.

'Superstition' Iris is complete and off the the French Art Colony Show. Very juicy with the glazed layers.

Moving day! New location for my honeybee hives. They slept late due to a cold morning and I shut their doors and relocated them. They were confused and wobbly but should settle into their new home.

Finished! 'Hunting Brunch' is complete at last. I saw this Bombus huntii (Hunt's Bumblebee) snacking on a Caragana arbor...

Finished! 'Hunting Brunch' is complete at last. I saw this Bombus huntii (Hunt's Bumblebee) snacking on a Caragana arborescens (Siberian Peashrub) during springtime at my family's farm in Dillon, MT. The whole bush was buzzing.

I thought it would make a lovely oil painting. I definitely have to work on painting fluff now with another bumblebee in the works.

This painting was accepted to the Tri-State Arts Association Biennial Juried Exhibition. It will be apart of the show from March 21 - June 21, 2026 at the Huntington Museum of Art in Huntington, WV.
