Point Entertainment continues to bring quality entertainment to the Philadelphia region and beyond. We currently program/produce the Eagleview Concert Series in Exton, PA; concerts at The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA, Concerts Under the Stars in Upper Merion, PA, Ardmore Music Hall, MilkBoy and more. Additionally, Point Entertainment has worked with Kennett Flash, The Philadelphia Folk Festival; Concerts Under the Stars in Upper Merion; Sundown Music Series in Haddonfield, NJ; Lower Providence Township's summer concerts, Philadelphia Weekly Concerts in the Park in Rittenhouse Square, Campus Philly Kickoff Concert on the Ben Franklin Parkway, Puck in Doylestown ...and more. Rich Kardon: Drawing from over 15 years of touring experience for a variety of major label recording acts (as tour manager, tour accountant and/or production manager), Richard Kardon opened The Point, in Bryn Mawr PA, in 1998. The intimate music venue quickly rose to national acclaim and in 2003 was named “One of the Best Places to See Live Music in America” by Esquire magazine, and having gained the reputation as the first Philly stop for up-and-coming acts like Norah Jones, The Avett Brothers, Feist, Vanessa Carlton, Tegan & Sara, Xavier Rudd, Regina Spektor and Andrew Bird, just to name a few. In 2005, the inability to come to terms on a new lease agreement led to The Point closing its doors, but it was the success of The Point that was the catalyst for the creation of Point Entertainment. Previously Director of Operations and Marketing for two independent record labels, and Managing Director of a children’s theater, he currently manages Dave Edmunds in the US. Jesse Lundy: Jesse Lundy has been working as a concert promoter and publicist in Philadelphia area since 1995 (Electric Factory Concerts 95-97; and New Park Entertainment/Jack Utsick Presents 97-01). In 2002, he joined Point Entertainment as Talent Buyer and Publicist at award-winning listening room The Point in Bryn Mawr, PA. Since The Point closed in June of 2005, Point Entertainment has been producing shows at numerous venues and special events in and around Philadelphia. Lundy also manages The Brakes and John Francis.

The music of Talking Heads has excited, inspired, and healed folks worldwide since their first show at CBGB’s in 1975. If David Byrne is one of the geniuses of modern times, then Start Making Sense is a tribute to genius. Start Making Sense celebrates the entire Talking Heads’ catalog with a seven-piece band meticulously executing the sounds and iconic live visual elements in every performance. Together these skilled and dedicated musicians enjoy bringing the unique, infectious energy of a Talking Heads live show that you know and love to the stage. In addition to an amazing tribute show they have created specialty shows including tours with horns for which they scored the Heads' catalog themselves, international group trips with fans, and other special nights that have kept audiences energized and returning year after year.

Rising Sun Presents STOP MAKING SENSE: A Film by Jonathan Demme and Talking Heads. Live Event Hosted by Jerry Harrison at The Colonial Theatre on Thursday, October 1st!

Newly restored in 4K to coincide with its 40th anniversary, the 1984 film was directed by renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme and is considered by critics as the greatest concert film of all time. Starring band members David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Jerry Harrison and Tina Weymouth (along with their incredible touring musicians), the live performance was shot at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater and features Talking Heads’ most memorable songs. The live event will feature a public screening of the re-release and hosted by co-star Jerry Harrison who will deliver introductory remarks, post screening comments and audience Q&A.

Rising Sun Presents Allison Russel on October 28, 2026 at The Colonial Theatre!

Montreal-born, Nashville-based Allison Russell is a Grammy, Juno, Americana, SOCAN, and Folk Award–winning artist and Polaris Prize–shortlisted singer-songwriter, producer, author, actor, and human rights advocate.

In 2024, Russell joined Hozier’s Unreal Unearth tour across the U.S. and Europe, with their duet “Wildflower & Barley” earning her first Billboard Hot 100 entry. Her Rainbow Coalition ensemble and All Returners tour continued through 2025 across Australia and North America. She also co-wrote “Human Mind” with Hozier for Mavis Staples.

Russell has received eight Grammy nominations and one win, alongside multiple honors including Americana Award nominations and Album of the Year, a Juno Award for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year, International Folk Music Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards, and UK Americana Awards. She was also named Billboard Women in Music Canada’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year and shortlisted for the Polaris Prize.
