Last night felt GOOD. šŸ¤ šŸ‚

One judge had me at 8 seconds and the other had me at 7.48. Close enough to sting a little šŸ˜‚, but honestly, that’s the best ride I’ve had in a long time.

The work is starting to show. Lots of time on the practice steers, lots of coaching, and lots of learning to stay committed and keep riding until I hear that buzzer. šŸ””

I didn’t get the official qualified ride tonight, but I left the arena knowing I’m getting there.

Back to work this week, then on to Foreman next weekend. šŸ”„

When the rodeo gets put on hold for lightning…you make your own entertainment. šŸ˜‚šŸŒ§ļøšŸ¤

Sometimes rodeo is 8 seconds of adrenaline. Sometimes it’s sitting in the truck waiting on the weather and getting on everybody’s nerves. šŸ˜‚

Wouldn’t trade any of it though.

Rain or shine, I’m just happy to be here doing what I love.

🤠 Twelve years. One arena. One dream.

Naples will always hold a special place in our hearts.

At 4 years old, Aaden climbed on a sheep for the very first time. He had no idea that one little ride would spark a love for rodeo that would shape so much of his life.

At 12 years old, he was earning buckles in the Naples Winter Youth Rodeo Series—not because every ride was perfect, but because he kept showing up, working hard, and collecting points all season long.

Now at 16, he’s climbing aboard bulls, studying stock, helping work the event, helping feed and water the rodeo animals after the performance, and chasing the same dream that began in this arena all those years ago.

This weekend didn’t end with the whistle we were hoping for. In fact, there was only one qualified ride all weekend. But rodeo has a way of teaching lessons that don’t always show up on the scoreboard.

Dreams aren’t built in eight seconds.

They’re built over years of early mornings, late nights, practice pens, buck-offs, victories, setbacks, family, faith, and the decision to climb back on one more time.

We’re proud of the young man you’re becoming, Hotrod. Keep your eyes up, trust the work you’ve put in, and never lose the joy that started with that little four-year-old in an oversized cowboy hat.

The whistle is coming.

We believe it. šŸ¤ šŸ‚šŸ’™

Sometimes rodeo reminds you there’s a fine line between a great ride and coming up short.

I drew a good bull and got a solid start, but somewhere along the way I lost my feet. That’s just part of the sport. You learn from it, get back on, and keep moving forward.

Now it’s time to focus on next Friday and one of my favorite rodeos of the year—Naples, Texas. It’s my hometown rodeo, and it’ll always be special to me. This is where I first climbed on a mutton sheep and fell in love with the rodeo life. It’s where this whole journey started.

I’m looking forward to getting another opportunity, seeing friends and family, and giving it everything I’ve got.

Thank you to everyone who supports me, prays for me, and cheers me on. I’ll see y’all in Naples.

Sometimes the bull wins.

I’m thankful to be walking away from this one. A few bruises, a few scratches, and another lesson learned.

Thankful for my family, the bullfighters who always have our backs, good protective gear, and God’s hand of protection.

This sport will humble you in a heartbeat. You don’t quit because you got bucked off—you learn, you get back up, and you climb back in.

Thank you to everyone who checked on me and kept me in your prayers. I’m already looking forward to the next gate.

Stay salty. Keep your faith. Keep your grit.

See y’all down the road . šŸ¤ šŸ‚šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

State Finals 2026 is in the books.

The results weren’t what we hoped for, but we’re leaving Abilene better than we came.

Two bulls. Two opportunities. Lessons learned.

This season tested Aaden with injuries, setbacks, long drives, and plenty of challenges, but it also proved something: he belongs here.

Not every ride ends with a score, but every ride builds the cowboy.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, donated, encouraged, sponsored, and followed along this season. We couldn’t do it without you.

Time to head home, heal up, get stronger, and get ready for the next one.

The dream doesn’t stop here.

Not the outcome we were hoping for this morning, but that’s bull riding.

Aaden came to the National High School Finals Rodeo, climbed in the chute, nodded his head, and gave it everything he had. Sometimes the ride goes your way, and sometimes the bull wins. That’s part of the sport we love.

What I’m most proud of isn’t the score—it’s the grit, determination, and heart he showed all season long to get here. From injuries and setbacks to earning his spot on this stage, he never quit chasing his goals.

This week didn’t end the way we wanted, but it doesn’t erase the hard work, sacrifices, lessons learned, and memories made along the way.

We’ll take what we’ve learned, get back to work, and keep moving forward.

On to the next rodeo.
