Why Limewash?
“Natural Limewash is a genuine, European slaked lime paint with only natural mineral ingredients. It is a concentrated finish designed for interior use. The paint develops a soft patina and slightly mottled appearance when hand brushed. The luxurious finish allows for the lime to “bloom” through the dried paint resulting in depth and texture as if it has been weathered for decades.

Limewash is extremely healthy to use and is earth friendly. It contains no added volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) and no allergens. Manufacturing processes are designed with minimum impact on the environment. Limewash is also v***r permeable and allows indoor walls to breathe naturally to remain drier and provide a healthier indoor environment.”

This show-stopping foyer and stairwell are clad in Marmorino Italian lime plaster which burnishes to a ‘honed’ sheen. The custom coloration was a slightly warm blue/grey, creating a complex, but inviting neutral. The walls are finished with Marseille soap which gives the plaster soft hand and protection from fingerprints.
