🇺🇦 One day. Two films. Not streaming anywhere.
Don't miss these selections from the Naples Ukrainian Film Festival, Saturday, September 26 at the Norris Center, presented by the UNWLA - Ukrainian National Women's League of America, Inc. and Міжнародний літературний конкурс "Коронація слова".
4:00 PM — THE WHITE BIRD MARKED WITH BLACK (1971), Directed by Yuri Illienko. A poor family in the Carpathians, near the Romanian border, during the Second World War. Five sons. Five players in the village band. Then the fighting between the nationalists and the Soviets begins, and the band starts to lose a player. Then another. An "optimistic tragedy," in wild color.
6:30 PM — SECOND WIND (2025), Directed by Masha Kondakova. Five Ukrainian soldiers, four of them amputees, set out to climb Kilimanjaro. Scarred by war and driven by hope, they go looking for the limit of what a body can do — and don't find it.
