Community Players Improv Group A FREE game-night style improv group designed for adults in and around the LGBTQIA+BIPOC communities of the Chicago Burbs.

Calling all theatre kids who grew up and fellow theatre and improv lovers, the Community Players Improv Group has joined the chat! We are located at and sponsored by the Community United Methodist Church in downtown Naperville and meet the last Sunday of every other even-numbered month. Our Schedule for the remainder of 2025 is as follows - 6/29, 8/31, 10/26 and 12/28. Our event plays itself out m

uch more like a structured game night, and you can think of our directors as your DM’s or guides. We normally meet for 3 hours with an optional family style dinner afterwards. Our mission is to create a positive environment for improv, theatre and comedy loving adults to come and have a break from the heaviness of our daily lives. It’s not an audition or a performance; purely sillies, just for the sake of sillies. This group was created by a nonbinary individual and is especially designed to be a safe space for the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC Communities and their allies. We do not tolerate any racism, hate or anti-LBGTQ rhetoric. Our website is coming soon and more information is coming soon!

Hi friends! Due to some construction and necessary shuffling in the CUMC building, we will be starting our session 30 minutes late. Our new time-frame is 3:30 - 6:15, then we will start working on dinner at 6:30.

This change is only effective for this specific upcoming group, all others this year are projected to run per usual. We hope this doesn't change any of your attendance and we can't wait to see you all for this upcoming "Agreeability August Session" next Sunday!!
