Historical Perspectives for Children presents HELEN KELLER: Champion of the Disabled, MLK: A Leader in Conflict Resolution, CLARA BARTON: Teacher, Civil War Nurse, Founder of the American Red Cross and WILMA RUDOLPH: Olympic Champion -- all VIRTUALLY -- as strong, role models for students in grades K-8 to teach character and to complement your social studies, language arts, conflict resolution, Bl

ack history, women's history, diversity, inclusion and disability awareness curricula. Each character is vividly brought to life from childhood through adulthood, allowing children to see how they developed the character qualities needed to achieve their dreams and goals. These engaging, multi-media, pre-recorded, virtual portrayals are accented with slides, sound effects, taped voice over and costume changes to truly bring each character to life. Programs are 35 minutes in length followed by a ten-minute question and answer period with the playwright. At the end of your program, children will say to themselves, "Maybe I can do that someday!"

These inspiring programs run about 35 minutes and are accented throughout with slides, sound effects, and voiceover to truly bring each character to life from their childhood through their adulthood. Children will intimately experience and genuinely understand how these role models in history developed the character qualities needed to achieve their dreams and goals -- and make a positive difference in our world.

Our Story

Historical Perspectives for Children presents strong, character role models to students in grades K-8 by dramatizing the lives of famous men and women in history whose stories complement your social studies, STEM, language arts and character education curricula. Each character is vividly brought to life from childhood through adulthood, showing children how they developed the character qualities needed to achieve their dreams and goals. These engaging, multi-media, interactive portrayals are accented with slides, sound effects, taped voice over and costume changes to truly bring each character to life. Programs are 35 minutes in length followed by a 10-minutes question and answer period. Full teacher preparation packets are emailed one month in advance.
