This is a preview of our wonderful special selection of animal themed artwork. Tomorrow you will be able to name your price to take home any of these beautiful pieces from local artists. All proceeds will benefit our own Art Association Napa Valley and our event partners Napa Wildlife Rescue. Come meet Wildlife ambassadors and their human caregivers. “ART GOES WILD” event benefitting Napa Wildlife Rescue!�Donated artwork preview and online sale with a ‘“BUY NOW” sale price!

The excitement is really ramping up in anticipation of our upcoming Saturday, August 22 joint fundraising event with Napa Wildlife Rescue. Here is a preview, and discounted purchase opportunity for the artwork that has been very generously donated by AANV members.

Sale proceeds will be shared by Art Association Napa Valley and Napa Wildlife Rescue. Your support, through purchase of one or more of the following items, would be greatly appreciated.

Support local artists… we have 53 artists in our gallery and a portion of our art sales goes to the Art Association Napa Valley annual scholarship fund for Napa County students.

‘BEST OF NAPA COUNTY” nominations are now open through Sunday, June 28. We would appreciate you taking a moment to nominate Art Gallery Napa Valley so that we can move forward to the final round for voting and then, hopefully, recipients of the award for a 3rd year in a row!

Meet our newest artist. Alan Nowell!

Alan Nowell studied drawing and painting at the Art Center Collegeof Design in Los Angeles with Lorser Feitelson, John La Gatta and Audubon Tyler.

He has continued his painting education during the years in his advertising business in southern California studing Plein Air painting with Jeff Horn and Elizabeth Tolley and portrait painting with Daniel Green and John Howard Sanden.

Alans memberships and associations have included the San Clemente Art Association, Laguna Beach Plein Air Painters Association, So. Calif. Plein Air Painters Association, Plein Air Artists of Riverside and as a Charter Member of the Portrait Institute in New York.

He has had gallery representation in the Studio 7 Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA, Mission Fine Arts Gallery in San Juan Capistrano CA, the Crystal Cove Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA and the San Clenente Art Association Gallery, San Clemente, CA. The Riverside Art Museum owns three of Alans Plein Air pieces.

Alan and his wife Nancy moved to Napa to be closer to family and hope to enjoy a whole new culture and environment with new friends and new painting challenges and opportunities.

Alan has been teaching both private and group lessons in his studio or on location for over 20 years and would like to continue this in the Napa area.

Alan’s home and studio are at 13 Fountain Grove Circle, Napa CA 94558 where he lives with his wife Nancy and a very active mystery terrier named Daisy.
