It's my birthday! 🎁🎂🍾🥂

I know I've been away for a while. Thanks to all who sent a DM checking on me, and I really appreciate those who say they miss my lives.

I spent a good amount of the past year recovering from an on-the-job injury.  Am much better, but that was a lot to go through.

So, like everyone, there’s been some ups and downs. That's life.

There’s been some really amazing things, too. I have a new position training flight attendants. And I am very excited that I've almost finished writing my book! My beta readers have said it's really good so far, so here's hoping I can get it done.

Anyway, thanks for your well wishes and friendship. Much love and so grateful for another revolution around the sun.

Here on Planet Crematoria aka Dallas, its 🔥 than a hot comb on Easter morning. Is anyone anywhere getting a break from the heat? Oh and for my cinema buffs, drop the name of the movie reference. No Google-ing!

Hint: They took a prisoner there to collect the bounty, at least that was the plan. "Why drive when you can be driven?"

Sooo, this has been a week.  Not the worst, but certainly not the best. That being said, I decided a night out would be the perfect remedy.

First up . My curiosity lead me to Google the meaning. I found this:

The phrase "te deseo" means I want so much to be ...with you, or ...close to you, or even ...part of your life., because is ...with a love like a sun, so it is not a sexual desire, it is a very platonic, idealistic, type of wish...

How beautiful.......but I digress.......

Anyway, Te Deseo is a Latin American themed restaurant. It boasts 4 bars, a gorgeous rooftop and a features dining courtyard with a retractable roof. In the center stood a wooden tree, completely stripped, sanded and stained blue. The walls had trellises of blooming flowers and twinkling lights. An urban oasis, indeed.

The seafood ceviche was so good I ordered a second. The spicy margarita was said to be excellent. No alcohol for me so the beautiful mixologist, Yaya, made me a refreshing sparkling water with fresh lime juice, rosemary and muddled mint. Perfecto.

Next up A charming European-style  bistro with an ambiance of vintage glam meets shabby chic. The menu is bilingual and since I know just enough French get myself in trouble, I was able to make some lovely selections.

The poached shrimp was excellent and the cocktail sauce had a surprising touch of barbecue sauce which was really very nice.

The main course of an 8oz steak was perfectly cooked; juicy on the inside with a lightly seasoned crusty exterior.

Off to Melrose's Library Bar whe I alway have an amazing time. The highly talented Eric Barnes was on the piano and I was thrilled to later meet the beautiful, always stylish Melissa Young, Artistic Director for . This is a phenomenal dance troupe and their performances are world class. Go to a show, I highly recommend it.

When life gives you 🍋 hit the town, order a hand crafted limeade with a sprig of rosemary and look fab while you sip.

A charming boutique hotel on Botham Jean Boulevard in Dallas' Cedar District. It was refreshingly laid back with none of the typical hotel layouts.

The doors were open and the light evening breeze ushers you in to a lobby that has a living room that leads to a bar, that goes to a dining area which flows to an open area that has a piano under a chandelier in a way that just works.

Go for the quirky decor, peruse the artwork then stay for the groove on the roof.

While you're enjoying the beautiful skyline, strike up a conversation with a stranger and you may get an amazing story of how he met Prince (yes, THAT PRINCE) several times and had many trips to Paisley Park because he went to high school with Mayte Garcia.

Take plenty of pics 'cause they boast the best view of the Dallas skyline and they're not wrong.

I think our quest to experience the 10 best rooftop bars is off to a great start.

If you ask, believe and are in alignment, the Universe will come through.

For weeks I wanted to attend this concert but was scheduled to fly. Miraculously, someone picked up my trip early Sunday morning at 2:30am.

I purchased my ticket day of, not knowing it included a private reception afterwards.

When I realized it was an outdoor venue, I checked the forecast. 80% chance of evening showers but I wasn't worried, because everything was coming together in Divine order.

Esparanza was lovely and graciously posed for photos. She is a Grammy Award winning artist, has performed in the Obama White House but could not have been more friendly and engaging after playing on stage outdoors in the cold. She is a Goddess incarcerated.

The band members hailed from Argentina to New York and were talented and interesting.

I loved meeting creatives and made some great connections.

On the way home, it started to rain. 🌧

This was a lesson in manifestation and I am listening.
