IT’S OPENING NIGHT!🎉🎉

Love Letters is being presented here in accordance with the wishes of its author, A. R. Gurney, who wrote: "This is a play, or rather a sort of play, which needs no special set and no memorization of lines. It is designed simply to be read aloud by an actor and actress, sitting side by side, in front of a group of people of any size." Like the old-time radio plays of Andy & Melissa's youth, Love Letters is a piece meant to be heard with the ears as well as simply seen with the eyes--and mostly, as with all love
letters, to be felt in the heart.

Up until last week, April, Courtney, and Wendy-Marie were only able to rehearse via Zoom in their separate homes. This photo is from the first rehearsal they had in the same room!

Even though the actors in “Love Letters” are sitting side-by-side in the same space, the characters, Andy and Melissa, are never in the same room together. It was important for Courtney and April to have the opportunity to sit next to each other during rehearsal - even if they weren’t looking at each other, just feeling each other’s energy made a world of difference!
