Oh my…. They were just kids. Do you recognize this band who ruled β€˜80s rock! They released their debut album, "On Through the Night" 45 years ago today on March 14, 1980!

Remembering Jani Lane on His Birthday!

Born February 1, 1964, Jani Lane became one of the defining voices of late '80s rock as the lead singer and songwriter of Warrant. Rising to fame with their 1989 debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, Lane wrote some of the era’s biggest hits, including Heaven, Sometimes She Cries, Cherry Pie, I Saw Red, and Uncle Tom’s Cabin. His songwriting and powerful vocals helped Warrant achieve multi-platinum success and solidify their place in glam metal history.

While best known for his work with Warrant, Lane also pursued solo projects and collaborations, showcasing his musical range beyond the band's signature sound. His influence on rock music remains strong, and though he passed away in 2011, his songs continue to resonate with fans worldwide. Today, we celebrate his legacy and the music that keeps his spirit alive.

47 years ago today, a plane carrying the members of the Southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd crashed near Gillsburg, Mississippi.

Six people were tragically killed: Captain Walter McCreary, First Officer William John Gray, Skynyrd's assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, backing vocalist Cassie Gaines, guitarist and vocalist Steve Gaines (Cassie's brother), and lead vocalist and founder Ronnie Van Zant.

In Skynyrd's "Free Bird," Ronnie would always sing, "If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me?" The answer is, and always will be, "yes." Skynyrd fans will never forget Ronnie, or any of the Free Birds we lost on this day in 1977. πŸ’” 🎡
