✨ Finished Piece – Stepping Into Landscapes

This one pushed me in the best way.
A full landscape… something new for me—and I leaned all the way in.

This piece was mostly created with soft pastel crayons, which made blending the sky and water such a unique (and messy 😅) experience.

The sky completely stole my heart while creating this.
Those soft blends of pinks, purples, and deep blues felt like capturing a fleeting moment you don’t want to lose.

And the reflection… 🌊
Learning how to mirror all that color into water was both challenging and so rewarding. It’s not perfect—but it’s growth, and I’m proud of that.

There’s something really peaceful about this piece—like everything is still for just a second.

Grateful for every step of the process as I keep expanding what I can do 💛

Sometimes the most meaningful pieces aren’t commissions… they’re the ones created straight from a mama’s heart. 🦒

I drew this pastel pencil giraffe for my youngest son, and watching his face light up reminded me exactly why I create. Every layer of pastel, every soft blend, and every tiny detail was filled with love, patience, and a little bit of childhood magic.

Art has a way of turning simple moments into forever memories — and this one is extra special to me.

🐾 Finally finished! 🐾
This German Shepherd puppy has been with me for over a year—I started him in pastel pencils last year and just now brought him to life. His curious eyes and soft puppy face were worth every detail and layer.

🌊🐢 New Art Drop! 🐢🌊

Meet my latest piece—a sea turtle gliding peacefully through the ocean, created especially for my son Elias. This one was a big shift from my usual wolves and dogs—such a different kind of beauty and energy! I loved the challenge of capturing the fluidity of water and the gentle strength of this incredible creature.

It’s always special when a piece comes from a place of love, and Elias’ fascination with ocean life made this one truly meaningful. 💙

Finally finished my white wolf! 🐺
This piece has been 8+ months in the making, and I’m so proud of how it turned out. It’s my first pastel pencil drawing with a background—and let me tell you, drawing a white wolf on white pastel mat was no easy task.

The process was challenging, but so worth it. I poured a lot of time, detail, and love into this piece.

Exciting news! I’ve branched out from acrylic art and alcohol ink to pastel pencils. 🎨 It’s been an amazing new skill to learn, and I’ve even had time to practice at work during slow moments over the last couple of months. Here are a couple of my first pieces—special requests from my sons for their rooms as I was learning. I’m loving this new medium!
