Today as we reflect on the extraordinary life of Dolly Parton we become united with love. She was more than an entertainer she was a beacon that shines bright in a world that often finds itself in dark times.

Dolly said she wants to rest in a beautiful bed of plush cotton because after a life wearing heavy rhinestones, she finally deserves to be comfortable and have some rest.

As we all navigate our paths in life we will always remember that Dolly showed us that we can be a diamond in a rhinestone world!

As we celebrate a historic year — America’s 250th Birthday in 2026 — the Boondocks Wild West Festival & Rodeo is proud to honor the men and women whose service and sacrifice helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

It is with great pride that we announce our 2026 Grand Marshal: U.S. Army Veteran Tammy Jacobs!

Tammy faithfully served in the United States Army from 1984–1988, completing Basic Training at Fort McClellan, Alabama, AIT at Fort Dix, New Jersey, and serving overseas in Frankfurt-Höchst, Germany with the 32nd Signal Battalion.

As a 63B Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic and E-4 Specialist, Tammy played a vital role in keeping missions moving and supporting those who served beside her. Her dedication, commitment, and selfless service represent the values that make America strong.

As we honor 250 years of our nation’s history, we also honor the people who helped write that story through their courage and sacrifice.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking Tammy Jacobs, the official 2026 Boondocks Wild West Festival & Rodeo Grand Marshal!
