The random allocation for the 2026 OBX Jeep Mutiny Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge Guided Drives is officially complete!

The allocation was conducted using Random.org’s List Randomizer, separately for Friday and Saturday. We recorded the process from start to finish, and we'll post that video so everyone can see exactly how the allocation was conducted.

🏴‍☠️ ALLIGATOR RIVER GUIDED DRIVE — RANDOM ALLOCATION PROCESS

Today, we will conduct the random allocation for the limited spots available on the Friday and Saturday Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge Guided Drives.

The Guided Drive is a permitted activity conducted in coordination with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) and is subject to all applicable USFWS and Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge (ARNWR) rules, requirements, route restrictions, and conditions.

To keep the participation allocation fair and straightforward, we will use RANDOM.ORG's List Randomizer.

Here’s how the allocation will work:

• The allocation will be conducted separately for the Friday guided drive and the Saturday guided drive.
• For each day, the Request IDs for all eligible requests received during the participation request period will be entered into the RANDOM.ORG List Randomizer.
• The complete list will be randomized one time.
• The first 25 Request IDs appearing in the randomized result will receive the 25 available spots for that day.
• There will not be a waitlist.
• After both allocations are complete, participants who received a spot will be notified by email.

Your Request ID is not an assigned spot — it identifies your request in today's random allocation.
