I had such a great time at the Kindred Spirits Salon + Spa first birthday! This place truly has the best vibes and they get my hair done right every time!
Shout out to the sweet ladies at The Apothecary Tattoo who made a home for my worm. Everybody was following that journey more than I knew, so I’m glad it will be going somewhere super cool where cool people will enjoy it.
We even enjoyed some rain while packing up 🤪

Long time, no see!
During my absence from social media I was moving and getting used to my new job. I’m looking forward to all that brings.
So finally, I have glazed the worm and it’s waiting on the shelf to be fired. I can’t wait!

Werm is out of the kiln. Next step, glazing. Many people have asked how this piece was structured. It is hollow on the inside. This was created with clay slabs. Only the tips are made of small pinch pot forms. The spine was a suggestion of my teacher, and I don’t think it would have held up well without it. I’m satisfied with this so far and I’m excited to glaze it. There’s so many possibilities!

Worm part 2. Paintbrush for scale. I’m nervous about the structural integrity of this piece. I’m drying slowly and then it will go on the firing shelf.
