The SFA Art Galleries present regional, national and international art, educational programs Regular gallery hours are 12:30-5 pm, Tuesday-Friday.

The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, 329 East Main Street, is a renovated 10,238 square foot gallery located in downtown Nacogdoches and is part of the SFA School of Art. The gallery hosts over 15 exhibitions annually including the annual national art competition Texas National. We also host a monthly "First Friday Film" series and many other artist talks, receptions and events. There is ne

ver a charge for admission.Gallery hours are 12:30 - 5 p.m., Tuesday - Friday; and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday.The Griffith Gallery is located in the Griffith Fine Arts building on Vista drive, 208 Griffith Fine Arts Building. This gallery hosts 3-4 exhibitions a year during the main school year. This venue is also open before most Fine Arts evening events in Turner Auditorium.

Reception tonight! Join us tonight 5-7pm, June 20th, at the Cole Art Center for a reception celebrating Five Painters: New Myths. We will have free food and drink, and as always, we are free and open to the public!
Organized by Kirk Hopper Fine Art and curated by Susie Kalil, the exhibition features works by artists with ties to Stephen F. Austin State University, including current students, alumni and faculty.
On display through June 27, Five Painters: New Myths showcases the diverse voices and creative perspectives of Shaun Roberts, Alexandria Wooldridge, Alberto Perez, Dagon Blank and Aarionne Hobbs.

The Cole Art Center is open for Blueberry Fest here in Downtown Nac! Come see some cool art and cool down! We have Five Painters: New Myths on display in the Ledbetter Gallery, and we will be open until 5:00pm!
Stop by the SFASU Theater and Dance booth in front of the Cole as well, they are having a great time!

The Cole Art Center would like to invite you to the Texas National 2026 opening reception this Friday, April 17, from 5-7pm! This year’s juror, Cindi Strauss, the Sara and Bill Morgan Curator of Decorative Arts, Craft, and Design and Assistant Director, Programming at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
Cindi Strauss will be presenting a talk tomorrow, Thursday, April 16, at 11:30am in Room 114 of the Griffith Fine Arts building.
Both events are completely free and open to the public, and we would love to see you there!
