Big shout out the Clay Quinlan on earning an AttaJack this past Saturday. AttaJacks are given to members who stand out in big ways throughout the entire marching band nominated by your leadership team and voted on by the band staff! Clay nominated three separate times, once by each of his leadership members!
Here is why he was nominated ❤️🔥:
Clay has really stepped up as a leader this season, and I think he deserves to be recognized for it. He has taken the time to truly understand Second Movement with the flag line so that he can help the people around him succeed. He wrote out the counts for those who learn better by seeing them written down, and he regularly runs Second Movement flag sectionals because he took the time to learn the material well enough to teach it to everyone else.
Clay is always willing to answer questions, no matter how many times someone asks. He has also taken the time to help his lesdership change and clean work when he noticed something that could be performed better. He does not just focus on getting himself better, he wants the entire section and team to succeed.
What stands out most to me about Clay is how much he genuinely cares about everyone. He has such a huge heart, and he brings so much positivity and kindness to the team. He leads by helping, encouraging, and making sure the people around him feel supported. Clay has shown what it means to step up as a leader, and I am really proud of the person and leader he has become. It takes a lot for someone to step up and lead when they don't have to and Clay never even gave it a second thought because it meant helping the team.
