We love the performances, the rehearsals, the coaching, training, and watching our students grow as performers. But one of our favorite parts of theatre? The friendships created here! ❤️

It takes a lot of courage to get up in front of your peers and be silly, sad, dramatic, loud, vulnerable—or completely step outside of yourself and become someone else.

These kids encourage one another, cheer each other on, laugh together, learn together, and create bonds that extend far beyond the stage.

We love the friendships being built here at LBT Conservatory, and we’re so grateful to give young performers a place where they can truly be themselves.

🎶 Joey Kelley is a tenor and Music Performance major at Coastal Carolina University, and we are so excited to welcome him to the Long Bay Theatre stage!

✨ Aaliyah Armstrong is a senior Musical Theatre major at Coastal Carolina University. You may remember Aaliyah from past LBT productions, including "It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" and "Disaster! The Musical." We’re thrilled to have her back on our stage!

The cast is coming together, rehearsals are underway, and opening night will be here before we know it! ❤️

Why should you consider theatre classes for your child? 👀

Of course, they learn how to act, sing, dance, and perform—but there is SO much more happening beyond the stage.

👉 Our students gain confidence. They learn how to speak in front of people. They learn how to work with all different personalities and be part of a team.

Our students learn responsibility, how to take direction, how to handle disappointment, and how to keep going when something doesn’t go exactly the way they hoped.

They make friends. They find a community. They get to be creative, try new things, and discover things about themselves they may not have known before. 🙌

The skills our kids learn here can follow them wherever they go. 💙 That’s why we truly love what we do at LBT Conservatory.

Something amazing started last night… ✨

There were many hugs as our cast gathered together for the very first rehearsal of Mary Poppins! ☂️❤️

From the moment everyone walked into the room, the magic was there. What an incredible group of people we have bringing this beloved story to life!
