We’re excited to announce that the Long Bay Symphony’s administrative offices have moved to a new home in Myrtle Beach’s vibrant Arts & Innovation District! 🤍

Our new offices are located at 522C Broadway St. on the second floor of the building, placing LBS in the heart of a growing creative community. This move gives us an opportunity to be more connected to our arts community and positions LBS for continued growth and collaboration throughout the Grand Strand.

What a way to kick off our season! 🎶

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Cross Currents, our first concert of the season, featuring Music Director finalist Geneviève Leclair, Conductor. Your energy, enthusiasm, and support made the evening truly special!

And a huge thank you to our incredible musicians and guest artist Tiffany Yin for an unforgettable performance. ❤️

We’re just getting started- here’s to a season full of music, connection, and momentum!

If you moved here from a city that had a symphony, we already know how this went.

You searched in your first month. You found us. You saw the concerts are at a high school and you closed the tab, and you have not looked again since.

That is not your fault. It is the single most expensive sentence in this organisation and we are the ones who let it stand.

So here is the correction: professional orchestra, sixty players, thirty-nine seasons, twenty minutes from your front door, in the middle of Myrtle Beach. The building is the least interesting fact about the night.

You did not leave the symphony behind. You just have not been introduced to this one yet.

One of these people teaches in Horry county school district. One of them is about to play Rachmaninoff. Same person.

You have driven past him. You may have hired him.

Half this orchestra has a life you would never connect to the stage. They tune your piano, teach your kid, work in the school district, and then on a Friday they put on black and play Rachmaninoff twenty minutes from your house.

It Takes Two is a series about the two things that have to be true at once for this orchestra to exist. This week it is a person and the version of them you never see.

The only professional orchestra in the Myrtle Beach area.
