I have heard today from Timothy Long, President of The Plimpton Foundation. Their fundraiser for the North American Indigenous Songbook ends tomorrow. They have raised $11,645 of their $25,000 goal. I am making a contribution, and I wonder if you might be able to make one, too. Can we help them reach their goal?
The Plimpton Foundation is the organization that supports Native American music recovery and preservation and development of new works by Native American musicians.
Timothy Long is a distinguished conductor, pianist, and composer of Muscogee and Choctaw descent who is Artistic and Music Director of Opera at Eastman School of Music, and an assistant conductor at the Metropolitan Opera. He is from Oklahoma and is an Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame inductee.
