Jumpin Jupiter Skate Center Jumpin' Jupiter Skate & Fun Center, located in Muskegon Michigan. Public Skating, Parties, Events We have skating sessions for all ages! We take care of the rest!

Family Entertainment Center - We're a premier roller skating and roller blading facility serving the Lakeshore community since 1998! Skate to the beat during any of our family friendly skating sessions. Our facility provides families, tweens and children a fun entertaining and healthy experience. Roller Skating and Roller Blading - We offer a black new generation regular skate rental. We have a few pairs of the "brownie rental skates". Although ours are the newer brown rental edition! Roller blade and premium rentals fill our racks too. You are welcome to bring your own skates or blades. Bounce Quest Playground - Young children enjoy bouncing around in Bounce Quest our 2 story soft play structure. Our large netted playground is like McDonald's. It has 2 levels of play, a kangaroo room and long yellow slide. We have just added an inflatable with 2 additional slides and bouncy area. Birthday Parties - We love to celebrate birthdays! No one does birthdays like we do! Just bring the cake, the camera and the kids! We offer private parties, fundraisers, group, team parties and educational field trips.

🪩 Let's talk about the generation that had it ALL at the roller rink.

Week 3 of National Roller-Skating Month is HERE and this week we're getting personal. Every generation gets their cultural moment celebrated. The music. The fashion. The moves. The memories that made their era at the rink uniquely, undeniably THEIRS.

We start with the ones who reigned supreme. 👑

Gen X (1965–1980) Roller Boogie Royalty. 🪩

You came of age during the absolute peak of it all. Disco was king. The rink was packed wall to wall. The music was ELECTRIC. You skated to Earth, Wind & Fire. To Donna Summer. To Kool & the Gang. And then somehow without missing a single beat you survived the transition from disco to new wave to synth-pop and kept right on rolling.

You wore the short shorts. You mastered the crossover step before anyone showed you how. You did the couples skate like it was an Olympic event with actual stakes. 🏅

And when the 80s hit and the neon came out? Gen X OWNED that too.

Here's what doesn't get said enough: Gen X was the backbone of roller-skating culture. You kept the rinks alive through every era shift. You never stopped showing up. And roller skating is still here today, in no small part, because of you.

For a lot of kids, in every generation, the roller rink was more than a fun place to go. 🛼🧡

It was a safe place.

A place where it didn't matter what neighborhood you came from, what your grades were, or whether you were the popular kid or the quiet one in the back of the classroom.

On that floor, you were just a skater. And skating was the great equalizer.

The kid who struggled in school? Might be the fastest one on the floor. The shy one? Might bloom the moment the music starts. The one who didn't fit anywhere else? Found their people at the rink.

Generation after generation, the roller rink has quietly been one of the most inclusive, welcoming, joy-filled spaces in American community life. Not because anyone made a policy about it. Just because that's what happens when music plays, wheels roll, and people move together. 🎶

At Jumpin' Jupiter, we take that responsibility seriously. For 28 years, we've tried to be that place for Muskegon. The place where every kid, and every adult, feels like they belong. 🪐
