Was not expecting this! 🤯

💥 I MADE THE LIMITED TIME COUNT! 💥

Monday was my ONLY chance to detect, and I had just TWO HOURS!

I met up with ​⁠nd headed to our late-1800s/early-1900s farm/dump site.

As you can see from the trash, I did plenty of digging! Most of it was junk, but this hunt had only one find that made it all worthwhile!

🥄 A sterling silver spoon marked “ALVIN STERLING”… and it’s MONOGRAMMED! 💥

NEW DISPLAY FOR MY SPECIAL FINDS!

I recently got my new display from Subterrix, and I absolutely LOVE the look!

What really caught my eye is how the background looks like the ground you might actually be digging your find from!

I’m going to use it to showcase some of my special finds and rotate different treasures throughout the year.

These displays are made by Republic Displays for Subterrix and are available through the Subterrix Merch Store.

They call it a coin display, but as you can see… it can display WAY more than coins! 👍🏼

I can already see myself having WAY too much fun deciding what goes in it next! 🤔

Sometimes the coolest thing you get with a hobby is the friends you make along the way! It’s been a great last year getting to know these gentlemen and I look forward to the future adventures this merry little band of detectorists will have!

Mrs. Ripcode and I had a blast at the Lumber Barons Ball: Night at the Museum last night! 🥳

Food, drinks, silent auctions and the staff dressed as characters from the movie!

What an amazing fundraiser! 🎉💵🎊

I also spoke with their acquisitions person about donating some of my Muskegon finds! 😮

Event well done Muskegon Museum of History & Science! 👏🏼

Give me something good!!

I was having a crappy detecting day and ready to call it quits, but Mrs. Ripcode encouraged me to try one more spot. Work has been absolutely nuts lately, and I wanted to make it home for dinner with her around 5:30 PM. ❤️

So I listened and headed to the late-1800s/early-1900s farm/dump site with renewed hope.

Well… that hope didn’t last long! More junk. More Ball jar lids. 😖

It was getting close to 5 PM, and I was heading back to the car with my detector still swinging.

In my head, I yelled…

“COME ON! GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD!”

BAM! A 90s signal on the Manticore!

I dug down with LOW expectations, expecting more junk… 🤨

Instead, I pulled out a STERLING SILVER SALT SHAKER LID! 🤯

Talk about a complete 180 in emotions! From frustration to excitement in seconds!

Sometimes, all it takes is ONE good find to turn the whole day around. 🏴‍☠️😁
