🎶 💙 On May 12, more than 4,200 third, fourth, and fifth grade students from 52 schools across Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Oceana, Newaygo, and Mason counties filled the Frauenthal with music and energy. For 22 years, your WMS has proudly partnered with Carnegie Hall’s internationally recognized Link Up education program, making WMS the longest-running orchestra partner in the country. Huge applause 👏 to the students, teachers, parents, volunteers, WMS staff, Frauenthal staff, and generous donors who helped make this unforgettable day possible.

Scott Speck shares: “Gulda’s wildly inventive Cello Concerto is a rarely-heard gem that gleefully crosses musical borders, blending classical virtuosity with jazz, folk music, marching-band swagger, and even rock. It’s playful and surprising, truly a joy to experience live.” Come listen to this work at Friday's season finale, featuring WMS Principal Cello Igor Cetkovic. Concert details here: bit.ly/42S8tuR
