The Michigan School Vocal Music Association proudly awards one $10,000 scholarship each year to an outstanding high school choral student pursuing a degree in choral music education, and we could not be more excited to see Taylor receive this incredible honor.

Taylor’s dedication, musicianship, leadership, and passion for choral music have made a tremendous impact on our program, and we know they will continue to inspire others as they pursue a future in music education.

Congratulations, Taylor! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see the difference you will make in the lives of future musicians. 🎶💚

What an incredible few days in Nashville! 🎶✨

We are returning home with full hearts and so much gratitude after an unforgettable choir tour experience. This trip gave our students memories that will stay with them for years to come.

Beyond the music, trips like these remind us of something even more important: the relationships built, the laughter shared, the growth that happens when students step outside of their comfort zones, and the community that forms when we experience something special together.

We embraced our most cheerful and flexible personalities throughout the trip. Travel always brings surprises, changing plans, long days, and unexpected moments. Our students rose to every challenge with positivity and grace, and because of that, they grew tremendously through this experience.

Nashville, thank you for the memories. What an amazing trip, and what an amazing group of students. ❤️🎵

Join us for an exciting evening of music at this year’s POPS concert! This cabaret-style performance will showcase a wide variety of musical styles, featuring primarily solos, duets, and small group performances, along with select full ensemble choral pieces.

🎶 Announcing the Reeths-Puffer Community Choir! 🎶

The greater Muskegon area is filled with talented, passionate musicians—and it’s time we bring them together.

We’re excited to begin exploring the launch of the Reeths-Puffer Community Choir, a new opportunity for singers in our community to connect, create, and make music together. Whether you’re a current performer, a former choir member, or someone who simply loves to sing, this choir is designed for you.

Our vision is to create a welcoming, high-quality ensemble that celebrates the joy of choral music while building meaningful connections across our community.

📅 The choir is planned to begin in September 2026, at the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

At this stage, we are just gauging interest. If you have any interest at all in being part of this ensemble, we would love to hear from you!

The evening will feature the RPHS Madrigals and Vocal Fusion choirs, along with tenors and basses from Mona Shores High School and our friends from Measure for Measure, a men’s ensemble based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Last week was an incredible one for the RPHS Choirs! 🎶✨

Our ensembles had the opportunity to participate in District Choral Festival at Grand Haven High School, and we are so proud to share that ALL choirs earned Division 1 ratings! 👏

Madrigals, Vocal Fusion, and Nova Choir traveled to Grand Haven and represented RP with excellence, while Harmonics brought Festival to us here at the high school. We were fortunate to have Maxwell Trombley spend two days working with and adjudicating our students—an amazing learning experience for all involved!

We are especially proud of some outstanding accomplishments in sight-reading:
🌟 Madrigals was the only ensemble in MSVMA District 7 to sight-read at the advanced level
🌟 Vocal Fusion earned a perfect sight-reading score at the intermediate level

These achievements place both ensembles among the top sight-reading choirs in West Michigan!

So proud of the hard work, growth, and musicianship these students continue to demonstrate every day. Go Rockets! 💚🚀
