It's a Wonderful Life is the beloved saga of everyman George Bailey, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. George’s guardian angel must descend on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him that he has indeed lived a wonderful life. This adaptation of the celebrated film not only cheers the spirit of the holiday season but also honors the love of one's family and the support of one’s community.

Audition Procedure:

7:00-7:30PM - YOUTH Auditions

Those interested in auditioning for our youth roles in the production are asked to join us for the first half hour of auditions on either night. They will be asked to read in a group scene from the show alongside other youth auditioners and two adult actors.

7:30-10PM - ADULT Auditions

Those interested in auditioning for our adult roles in the production are asked to join us at 7:30PM for a group warm up, followed by readings from scenes of the show alongside fellow auditioners.

Callbacks for the show will involve additional group scene reads as well as monologue reads as needed.

Tomorrow evening, stop by No More Sidelines for our Annual Penguin Family Fun Night! There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door. This gets you food, a treat, games, crafts, and activities! There is also a silent auction with some fabulous items and a raffle! All proceeds from tomorrow's event will go to support The Penguin Project of Muskegon Civic Theatre! Auditions for Company continue TONIGHT! Be a part of Season 42!

From musical theatre's most renowned composer, Stephen Sondheim, and the winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics, and Best Book, Company follows the story of confirmed bachelor, Robert. On the night of his 35th birthday, he contemplates his unmarried state and over the course of a series of dinners, drinks, and even a wedding, "those good and crazy people [his] married friends" explain the pros and cons of taking on a spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions.

Please prepare 16-32 bars (or approximately 1 minute) of a song from musical theatre. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring clearly marked sheet music in the correct key. No acapella, please.

All auditioners will have a slot for their vocal audition and will also be required to attend one of our dance audition slots. The dance choreography will be taught in person each night of auditions by the choreographer for the production.
