IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THOSE WHO GROW THEIR OWN TOMATOES. I recently filled my new raised beds with a mixture of manure and other materials from CPS. I then planted tomato plants in the beds and a week later I was seeing the tops of the tomato plants turning gnarly looking. I have since discovered that T
his is a result of Grazon damage (Google "Grazon damage to tomato plants"). The Grazon can continue as a problem for upwards of three years. I got the manure at CPS but have been told that this can occur with any manure - that sold in bags or in any form if Grazon was in the pipeline. I have been a customer of CPS for more than 20 years and thought they might want to tell customers who were buying manure of this problem but when I talked to them they showed no concern at all for their customer on this issue - I wasn't asking for anything - just wanted them to let people know. Since they are not interested in keeping their customers informed of such issues, I want to pass this on to all our local tomato growers.
