Still accepting director submissions through September 4th! See post for details!

🌈✨Calling all directors! Temecula Valley Players is now accepting director submissions for our March 2027 production of The Wizard of Oz! Follow the yellow brick road and share your vision for bringing this beloved classic to life on the TVP stage.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter-approximately 1/2 page, but no more than 1 page-that includes:

1) Why you want to direct The Wizard of Oz
2) Why you would be the best selection for the position
3) Your “elevator pitch” - just a few sentences describing your artistic vision for the show

Applicants should also complete the Director questionnaire located in the Google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1e6h97Bu80_pMjuZ836kI2XrPZ4T73tN0?usp=sharing

(If link is not clickable, copy and paste into your browser; link also in bio)

If you have already submitted the questionnaire during a previous theatre season, you do not need to resubmit it - just send the cover letter.

📧 Please send all submissions to [email protected] by September 4th.

We can’t wait to hear your ideas, your passions, and your vision for the wonderful world of Oz! 🌟

(Please note: The Wizard of Oz is the only production currently accepting director submissions. Artistic teams for the rest of the 2026-2027 season have already been determined)

Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz.

Rated PG-13
Content Guide: May not be appropriate for younger children due to themes of adult language, suggestive mature humor/innuendo. We encourage you to use your best judgement based on your child’s age and maturity level.

🌟Meet the cast of Something Rotten!🌟

This next group of MESMERIZING performers are sure to keep your toes tapping in TVP’s upcoming production of Something Rotten!

Marlee Adamo, Danielle Adams, Sara Arnold, Kyndall De Angelis, Sophie Stempson, Marlee Walker, and Madeline Yokeley are the Writers, rival playwrights in the Renaissance, who are bold, dark, loud, swift, fierce, sharp, and wise. They are fighting for the spotlight and providing stiff competition for Shakespeare and Nick Bottom!
