The show has closed but we have a few more standing ovations to give! Meet Miss Stephanie, our fearless choreographer. If anyone was up for the challenge of Anything Goes, it’s this lady! We love you! ⚓️
Stephanie is very excited to work again this year with the musical theatre students of St. James High School. She choreographed “Legally Blonde” , “South Pacific”, “Catch Me If You Can”. and “Crazy For You” before returning to do choreography for “Addams Family” and “Elf” this school year.
Stephanie was born and raised in Mooresville, North Carolina, where she began dancing at the tender age of three. She trained in all styles of dance at the Academy of Dance and Fine Arts for 15 years. Discovering her passion for performing at an early age, it was no surprise that Stephanie would continue on to pursue dance as a career. Less than a week after graduating from high school, she was in rehearsals for her first cruise ship contract on the Cunard Dynasty. From that point, she began touring the world as featured dancer on a variety of different cruise lines, including Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2, Commodore, American Hawaii Cruises, and Disney Cruise Lines. She later made the big move to NYC, where she landed a lead role in an Off-Broadway production of A Thin Line- A Dance Drama. Stephanie also had the unique opportunity to travel to Athens, Greece, where she starred as a lead dancer in the five month tour of The Magic of Musicals. For over a decade, Stephanie entertained audiences nightly at The Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In addition to performing, she also served as Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain for the Carolina .Opry, Good Vibrations, and The Carolina Opry Christmas Spectacular.
After stepping back from the stage, Stephanie has focused the past 16 years on teaching the next generation of young dancers, and choreographing award winning routines at the Academy of Dance and Fine Arts in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Stephanie specializes in jazz and contemporary and is committed to developing strong, safe technique while building confidence in young dancers.
