After a very successful run last year, the adorable Ellowyn Allred-Lucas will be returning with her Lemonade Stand Fundraiser as part of the Weaver Challenge. She will be in the Annex parking lot on Thursday, September 17th with refreshing lemonade and delicious sweet treats from 10 am-6 pm!
Come help us support our weaver challenge and get a delicious cup of lemonade and a sweet treat!

Playhouse in the Park would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Destination Calloway for their generous donation to help us give our beloved caboose a much-needed fresh coat of paint!!

Our caboose has been a special part of the Playhouse in the Park experience for years, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it looking its best as we head into an incredibly special year.

2027 marks Playhouse in the Park’s 50th Anniversary!

We can think of no better way to celebrate 50 years of theatre, community, and memories than by starting the year with a freshly painted caboose!

We are so grateful to Destination Calloway for investing in Playhouse in the Park and helping us get our home ready for this incredible milestone.

Playhouse folks!! Auditions for the very first joint show between Playhouse in the Park and Murray State University are here!!! See Google form for more information and to sign up, please do not just show up for these auditions.

Audition Requirements:
Sing 60-seconds in the style of the show (Disney princess, show tune, etc.) Must bring a backing track for auditions.
Bring a 45-60 second dramatic monologue OR cold read one at the audition.

Audition Date Information:
Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20 at the Playhouse Annex starting at 6pm. There will be a dance call on Thursday, August 20th at 4:30pm at the dance studio in the Old Fine Arts building on Murray State Campus for those who want to be considered for dance leads, featured dancers, or ensemble dancers. No need to sign up for the dance call, please do not be late.

We will call to schedule your audition time once the Google Form is completed and we get closer to the audition dates.

UPDATE ON PENGUIN PROJECT at Playhouse in the Park, 2026: Honk, Jr has been struggling to get artists for its production this year. After speaking with The Penguin Project we have been granted access to use other ages. With that being said, if you are or know a person with a disability between the ages 8-25, and would like to participate in Honk, Jr (The story of the Ugly Ducking) please reach out to [email protected] and ask for information before this Thursday!
