🍎🍨 The Appletime® Ice Cream Challenge returns for 2026!🍨🍎

Think you can handle a sundae big enough for Captain Applesauce?

Prove it during the Murphysboro Apple Festival on Thursday, September 10 at 5:00pm at the Appletime® Ice Cream Challenge, hosted by Small Town Scoop! This will occur at the Appletime Stage. This is a head to head competition, fastest completion wins it all!

👑 The Adult Challenge
The Feast: A 6 POUND sundae with 16 scoops of ice cream (Vanilla & Deep Dish Apple Pie), apple topping, caramel, graham crackers, 2 Mileur Orchard Apple Cider donuts, whipped cream, cherries, plus a full bottle of Big Muddy Root Beer!

Who Can Enter: Adults ages 18+
Entry Fee: $25 deposit (refunded after participation)
Maximum: 6 contestants only – spots go fast!
Grand Prize: 🏆 $200 cash + a case of Big Muddy Root Beer (thanks to Big Muddy Brewing!)

Join us this Sunday, August 30th from 2:30-4:30 at 17th Street Small Warehouse. Come meet the Queen contestants, support the scholarship, and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

Don't forget to purchase your Miss Apple Festival and Prince & Princess Pageant Tickets! Buy ahead and save time at the door.

The Pageant will be held on Sunday, September 13th at 2pm in the Murphysboro High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $8 and by purchasing online through Eventbrite, you can choose your seats. Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase at the door.
