The deck rail slash drying rack...the back deck is reserved for the dirtiest of the pretties...some of them have been on the deck for 2 months soaking and still could use a couple more dunks in the bleach. Whelks, olives, moon snails are my top 3 fave shells to find. I love chocolate fudge striped knobbed whelks (scientific names only here 🤣)...

Just a few items out at the Hometown Handmade Tent at the 2026 NC Watermelon Festival! There's still two days left to catch great live music, shop from more than 50 vendors, eat some great food, and get a ride on the ferris wheel. The annual 5k is back, set to start at 7:30am on Saturday, parade at 10am, and fireworks at 9pm. Oh...and if you want to be entertained, come out to see Liquid Pleasure on Friday night! They put on a great show!

We are just about 36 hours away from kicking off the 41st Annual NC Watermelon Festival! Last minute preparations are being made by everyone to get ready! Mental Shellness running our Hometown Handmade booth Wednesday- Saturday!

Finishing up some last minute prep for tonight's shell event at the Insert Coin Barcade! 7pm! Williams St, Murfreesboro! It's Christmas in July!

Coming this Saturday, July 18th, to the Barcade! Christmas in July! 7pm-9pm
Make ornaments and other designs out of large north Atlantic scallop shells, sand dollars, oyster shells, clam shells, and knobbed whelks. All shells have been picked up some place along the coastline by me!

I have another shellascious night planned this coming Saturday for Mental Shellness at the Insert Coin Barcade on 111 Williams Street! Thanks to everyone's fave bar w***h extraordinaire Joni E Saner for the invite!

The first one was a big hit and we all had a great time!

Why not have Christmas in July...so lots of Christmas and Holiday options along with the usuals will available!

From ornament options to trinket dishes to side table decor-I will have everything you need to make and take your own shell. Everyone will walk away with some free shells too-along with being entered into a raffle for one of my big shell pieces at the end of the night! A portion of the proceeds will go towards my Relay for Life Team!

James River ancient oysters trinket dish...perfect for rings, earrings, bobbles, and even pearls. 🦪 ⚪️ Would look great on a vanity, side table, night stand or even kitchen counter. Resin makes these shells durable and glossy. I love the old oysters from Surry Co., Virginia and the James River. Makes me wonder what large and different ocean life they lived with back then.
