Acoustic Crawl

Acoustic Crawl Acoustic show in a crawlspace. Acoustic show in my basement! The Acoustic Crawl isn't just about music. We support any local art. Our music is a crazy mix of s**t.

So if you can't play an instrument or sing you are in luck! Poetry, small plays, painting, dancing, and we also help out local brewing. If you have some poetry or a short story you have written, feel free to read it live. If you have written a small play or want to do a small skit, feel free to perform for us all. We are starting an art sale event so feel free to sell some of your paintings. If we

have room we can also help you set up a live art table. If you have some kick ass moves or just want to get sexy and dance your ass off then let's see what you got. If you brew your own beer, wine, mead, or moonshine let us know and we will buy it and serve it at the AC. We will also let everyone know you made it. Punk, blues, funk, hippie s**t, bluegrass, and good ole sing-a-longs. Hang out and relax and listen to the Boro's local artist. Feel free to get down with yourself with open mic. If you have some sort of talent you want to show off or an idea for us feel free to send us a message. The line ups:

*Bands, plays, poets, short stories, and dancers. times are first come first serve, let me know what time you want to go on. Set times are 20 minutes to an hour, with a 10 minute break between bands. If a band finishes before their scheduled time, you can play earlier. You cannot play past your set! There are a lot of bands playing and I want the basement to close at 3:10 am. Make sure you are ready to play on time! Bartenders:

*I need some volunteers to help man the bar. I will split the tips and if we make more money then what I pay for booze I will spit that also. We will do hour shifts. Also I need you to show up early for a bar-tender meeting at 8:10pm. Bartenders will drink for free. Acoustic Crawl volunteers:

*Volunteers will help set up the chairs, stage, recycling areas, and lights. Volunteers be here around 7pm. Volunteers get free beer, but you have to be here no later than 7:30pm. I only can take 6 volunteers for the free beer. If the spots are filled you can still help set up just no beer sorry. My # if you need to contact me 615-445-9505

CALLING ALL WRITERS, ARTISTS, JOURNALISTS, AND PHOTOGRAPHERS!!

The Acoustic Crawl is producing a magazine called "Lower View"--a magazine dedicated to showcasing and exposing local writers, artists, journalists, and photographers like YOU. You may have read the first edition at the previous Acoustic Crawl, and noticed there was a deficient amount of content. We need YOU to contribute and help make "Lower View" an interesting publication of short stories, articles, poems, paintings, interviews, CD/live show reviews, personal opinion pieces, or anything else your mind can create.

If you are looking to gain exposure and recognition for your creativity, feel free to email Jordan Sanders your material or any questions you may have at [email protected].

All submissions need to be in by May 18th. Any submission received after May 18th will not be considered for this edition.

Please submit and share your voice with the world! (Or at least the cool people who attend the Acoustic Crawl)

Diamond Carter

Here is one of the bands that is playing tomorrow night.
Diamond Carter
www.facebook.com/diamondcartermusic

Diamond Carter is the alter ego of Orange County native and notorious (if not infamous) Nashvillian, Tyler Tuohy. His most recent album, Moon Paradise Vol. I is Tuohy’s latest experience in his ever-evolving sound self-identified as “Tropical Vampire Music.” But as local blog for No Country for New Nashville explained, “[s]ince being unique, out-of-the-box and creative is what this singer/songwriter embodies, we think it’s appropriate that he made up his own genre.” As Tuohy looks to drop Moon Paradise Vol. II on October 12th, he is gaining a reputation as a producer and DJ. With the support of the reps at Roland, Tuohy is confident the rest of the country will hear him soon, whether it’s his self-titled genre, or his newly produced tracks for other major artists.

Just letting everyone know we will be canceling the Januray 25th event and we will have the ACs only every other month. This will help keep the bands with fresh music, help the brewers, be easier for me to pay for this event, and allow a bigger audience. Thank you for the support and we will see you in Feb

We are going to start putting out an AC zine, to hand out during the events for people to read share, and keep. We will need a few editors that will be welling to edit people's work, mostly spelling and grammar. The zine will be small, so it will be very little work, but I will put a deadline on the work that needs to be edited. That means editors will have to be reliable. Editors will also decide what will go on the zine as well, incase we get too much stuff. If you love writing and you are good at it, send a message to this page or to Thomas Duncan if you would like to be an editor. Thanks

Tag yourself and friends.
