A very special thank you to our incredible band directors and music departments across Rutherford County Schools. The time, dedication, and passion you pour into your students every single day were on full display at Jazz Fest. From the youngest 6th graders to our seasoned high school musicians, the level of preparation and performance was nothing short of phenomenal.

You do far more than teach music—you build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Coordinating rehearsals, managing logistics, and ensuring students arrive prepared and on time is no small task, and yet you make it look seamless.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Providence Christian Academy—they showed up and truly showed out. The combination of orchestra, choir, and vocal performances was outstanding and added something really special to the weekend.

Because of your leadership, we are not only showcasing talent—we are building a true pipeline from middle school to high school and into outstanding programs at schools like MTSU and Belmont. That kind of continuity doesn’t happen by chance—it happens because of you.

Thank you for your commitment, your excellence, and for giving our students an experience they will never forget. 🎶

What an incredible weekend at Jazz Fest!

Both days were truly phenomenal. Friday night gave us perfect weather (even if it got a little chilly), and the atmosphere was just magical—lights, music, and some of our senior bands showcasing the very best of Rutherford County talent. It was a powerful reminder of just how gifted our students are.

Saturday started strong at 10:30 with beautiful skies and amazing performances, especially from our middle school bands. As the weather began to shift later in the day, Stewart’s Creek High School closed us out, and we’re grateful that every student still had the opportunity to perform.

This event would not be possible without so many people. A huge thank you to Dr. Sullivan, Dr. Halford, and a very special thank you to Scott Kenny for nearly 30 years of service to Rutherford County Schools—we’re grateful he’ll continue pouring into students at Providence Christian Academy.

Thank you to The Fountains and their incredible staff—Katie, Jacqueline, and the maintenance team—for making everything run smoothly. We’re also so appreciative of Mechanics on a Mission and Godspeed for helping with traffic and bringing out those amazing cars—they were a huge hit!

To our sponsors, vendors like LifeWise and CEF, our volunteers (especially our students earning service hours), and Concert Performance for outstanding sound—thank you. You made this event seamless and special.

Despite a busy weekend across the community, we had a great turnout, and the feedback has been overwhelming. Every year we learn and grow—and with next year marking our 30th anniversary, we’re already excited for what’s ahead.

Most importantly, thank you to our students. You are the reason we do this.

And thank you to everyone who came out, supported, volunteered, and helped make Jazz Fest 2026 such a success. 💙
