The mission of the Center for the Arts is to enhance the quality of life in our community by providing cultural and economic enrichment through the arts. The Center for the Arts opened to the public on December 1, 1995 and was originally funded by the City of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County. In 2008 The Center became a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization and now depends on the generosity of the p

ublic for funding. Since it’s opening, the Center for the Arts has been presenting theatrical productions, visual art exhibitions, music concerts, dance performances and educational classes.

The Center Stage Academy is thrilled to announce that auditions for the 2026-2027 Teen Company will be held on June 25 and 29, 2026. Our “Senior Teen” performers will be featured in the mainstage production of 13, the Musical September 11-20, and will have additional performance opportunities throughout the 26-27 school year. Our CFTA Teen Company is an experience that will prepare our young performers for their collegiate and professional careers. Students will work alongside seasoned veterans from our CFTA adult performers to create outstanding performances. If you are looking for the next step in your students’ onstage journey, this is for you.

Tonight, we celebrated five talented seniors in their Senior Vocal Recital, showcasing their growth into confident performers.

Their success is also a reflection of the guidance, and encouragement of our passionate vocal instructors, in partnership with the families and friends who support these talented students, as they have discovered and strengthened their unique voices.
