Formed in 2015, M-Prov is dedicated to bringing the art of improvised theater to Rutherford County and surrounding areas. Started in a dining room in 2015 as the brainchild of E. Roy Lee and Thom Thornhill, our mission is to bring the art of improvisation to Murfreesboro and surrounding areas. Since its inception, M-Prov has also taught dozens of classes and workshops for kids, teens, and adults.
M-prov has taught and performed in Rutherford and Coffee County Schools, including the Tennessee Theatre Association Conference, and at Middle Tennessee State University. M-Prov has also held corporate training workshops for the American Association for State and Local History, Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, and Verizon Inc. M-Prov has also worked with other performing groups, such as Murfreesboro Little Theatre, Radical Arts, and the Center for the Arts. We've attended improv festivals such as Gatlinburg Improv Festival, Third Coast Improv Festival, Nashville Comedy Festival, and performed in other events such as Boro Pride and the YMCA Summer Camps.
