🚨NEW EPISODE! On the 80th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom & Zeus welcome special guest Chris L from the podcast Pod of Thunder, to review the 1983 smash album from Huey Lewis & The News, "Sports!"

In the middle of the 1980's Huey Lewis & The News exploded. Their third album, "Sports" would become the second biggest album in 1984, behind only Michael Jackson's "Thriller!"

Huey Lewis & The News was led by the charismatic and vastly underrated lead singer, Huey Lewis. Guitarist Chris Hayes was the lead guitar and Johnny Colla also handled guitars and the sax. On keyboards was Sean Hopper and Bill Gibson was on drums. On bass was everyone's favorite character, Mario Cipollina.

Sports was Huey Lewis & The News' 3rd album. The band made sure this album was filled with songs that could all be considered singles. Their winning formula of straight bar band old time rock, R&B, Blues and great catchy melodic songs was the key to their success.

The album made it to #1 on the US Billboard charts and eventually went 7 times platinum. It was produced by Huey Lewis & The News.

Sports was the start of their real success, along with their songs on the "Back To The Future" soundtrack and their next album, "Fore," the band was all over MTV and the radio.

This was Zeus' pick.

So enjoy the hilarious observations of the guys and Chris L and watch out for Napoleon!
