The Pyrotopia Festival of Fire Arts is back in 2014, and it’s going to be hotter than ever! Returning on Saturday, May 10, Pyrotopia will be held in its permanent new home: Westfield Park in Munhall, just minutes away from the Waterfront. This year promises to be biggest and most fiery festival of its kind! Voted Best Festival of 2012 by City Paper readers, Pyrotopia is expanding the spectacle for

2014 to include more fire, light and electrical arts. If you thought our first year was a blast, wait until you see what we have in the works this year. Join thousands of fellow fire fans for a day-long celebration of all things pyrotechnical! Bring the whole family for Volcano Village, a FREE afternoon full of games, demonstrations and experiments that will ignite excitement in kids of all ages. As the sun sets, Pyrotopia continues with performances, installations, music, art, food, and of course, fireworks. Participate in interactive demonstrations and experience some of the most innovative projects that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Pyrotopia is THE festival you won’t want to miss. Fire fans, Pyrotopia has moved to our rain date, Sunday, due to lighting risk tonight. Everything else is the same: just sunnier and safer

NEWS FLASH: Pyrotopia is moved to the rain date, Sunday, May 11th (the next day). This is due to the likelihood of lightning throughout the day, according to this afternoon's forecasts. In order to keep our guests and performers safe, we've made the difficult decision to move to Sunday. Same great festival, better weather, one day later!
