A MESSAGE FROM RICHARD:
Celebrating My Wonder Woman: Angela Hill
Beloved friends,
It is with deep sadness that I inform you: The heart of our dance community, and my amazing wife, Angela Hill, passed away on Saturday, July 29th, from complications with a very rare cancer.
Ang was such a unique and vibrant spirit with an unwavering faith, bringing communities together with her passion, radiant energy, and love for music and dance. She had a unique gift of making everyone feel welcome and included, and she set the stage for countless magical moments on the dance floor and beyond. She embodied the spirit of dance, making musical memories that touched our souls and made us move with joy.
Despite her life being cut far too short, I take comfort in the fact that my wife was happy, thriving, and always working hard to achieve the next goal, no matter how big or small. Her enthusiasm and many contributions to our dance family have left an indelible mark on every one of us.
She truly was a Wonder Woman.
May Ang rest in eternal peace, free from pain, forever dancing among the stars. Her light will shine forever upon us, guiding us through the steps of life with grace and love.
In the coming weeks, my family and I will hold a very special Memorial & Dance Celebration to commemorate Ang’s amazing life. Details will be shared with you soon, and I truly hope you will join us in honoring her memory and celebrating the joy she brought to us all. Dress Up & Dance!® On the Move is officially on hiatus, but I hope to see you on the dance floor again, somewhere down the line.
As we continue our respective journeys on the dance floor, let’s always carry Ang’s spirit with us. We’ll honor her with every step we take, every dance we share, and in every kind gesture we extend to others.
I want to leave you with a profound message I found on my computer that Ang wrote in 2013. It describes how achieving dreams isn’t easy but attainable with trust in God. She had an amazing, unshakeable faith and trust in God.
Remember: Let’s Continue to Build our Friendship…Our Family.
Richard

Dreams by Angela (her words unedited by Richard):
I was thinking about my life and all the times I wished a door had opened. All the times I was disappointed with people saying they would help me.
I remember wishing the bank would approve my loan request for the first business idea in Wheeling (which was neither the right location nor affordable at the time). I wished this person would help me or that person would do something to help my business, or this person would help my dreams come true.
As I look back now, I’m so glad that none of those situations worked out. I’m so glad God closed those doors because I was forced to find the right path for me.
Life to me can be like a living maze where you start at one end with the objective of finding your way to the finish line. Many times, you may make a turn and hit a dead end and have to go another way. In a maze, as in life, that door closing on you could seem to be the end and that you can’t get thru but It really only means you need to go another way. If you keep moving, eventually you will get to where you’re going.
Just remember where you have been. If you get confused in a maze, remember the deadends you already hit in order to get out. Also in life, you have to remember all the doors that were closed so you don’t waste time going that way again. If you want to get to your dreams you can’t expect to get there by doing the same things and re-visiting the same spots. You must try something different.
I would say never give up on your dream; Instead, try another path. Same dream, same maze, different direction.
Now…looking at my life - I feel sorry for people who have a dream and give up because it gets hard.
Let me tell you, "IT’S GOING TO GET HARD!" but quoting my husband Richard, "SO WHAT? MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!" Don’t stop because a door closed.
I have learned to thank God for closed doors. You have to know that if God wanted you to go that way, no man could close that door. For some reason he allowed that door to be closed, but if that one was closed I assure you that there is another door, or a window open somewhere. And it’s the right one. He always gives us a way in.
Don’t stop until you are living your dream!! Today…I am living my dream and I thank you all for being a part of my dream here at Dress Up & Dance!
