⚠️SOM 2026 Pick-A-Date Fundraiser⚠️

The Spirit of Muncie Band & Guard is conducting their first fundraiser for the summer: Pick A Date for the month of May! All summer SOM students have a calendar to raise funds for their account.

💰Choose a day and donate that amount.
For example, the 20th = $20.

❓Why donate? If all dates are donated, each calendar can raise $496!! For every filled calendar*, the student receives their $150 summer fees paid & $100 cash!!! The remaining $246 will benefit the boosters for instruments/maintenance, contest fees, transportation, uniforms/maintenance and MUCH MORE.
*Partially filled calendar $$ goes directly to students’ fees first, then any amounts over $150 will be applied to Boosters.

📅Feel free to choose multiple dates.

Thank you for your continued support for these students as they work hard once again and strive for their excellence in summer marching.

📆Deadline for all calendars will be June 9th.

Due to tonight’s brief weather delay all contest activities have been pushed back by 40 mins making these the new performance times:

7:40pm - Concert Band
9:50pm - Wind Ensemble

Concert Band did make it to New Castle safely and sheltered in place during the Tornado Warning which has now passed.

If you plan to attend our contest at New Castle tomorrow, here is information regarding parking and construction.
The host has asked us to inform you that State Road 3 is down to one lane in each direction, so please plan extra time to get to New Castle. Parents will park in the Northeast parking lot by Bundy and enter door 51. No one will be allowed into the performance once we have started playing.
Here are the itineraries sent home a few weeks ago here, as well.

Due to the hazardous conditions, Muncie Community Schools will again be closed tomorrow, Jan. 28. Having now missed four days this school year, we will need to start adding days to the end of the year. More info will be coming. Be safe!
