A little glass, a little creativity, and some beautiful fall pumpkins!

Last Friday and Saturday, our stained glass students learned to cut and grind glass, apply copper foil, and solder their very own pumpkin suncatchers. Everyone left with a beautiful finished piece, ready to bring a touch of fall to their windows!

We loved seeing their creations come together. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun day of learning and making at Arkansas Craft School!

From the stage to the pottery table!

While visiting Mountain View and performing at area schools, TheatreSquared’s “All Greek to Me” touring group joined us at Arkansas Craft School for a hand-building pottery class before heading home.

What a fun, creative group! We loved giving these performers a chance to try a different art form after sharing their own talents with local students. We’re so glad we could be part of their Mountain View experience!

Thank you for spending a little of your time with us and for bringing theatre to our community!

A little look back at Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour! September 25–27, Tom and Sage Holland joined us at the Arkansas Craft School, sharing their knowledge, creativity, and love for glass art with visitors. We’re grateful for the care and enthusiasm they bring to sharing their craft!

Want to see more? Tom and Sage will be back for Art Walk Around the Square on November 13 & 14, alongside many other demonstrating artists working in a variety of mediums. Come watch, ask questions, and discover the artistry behind handmade work!

Turn a piece of steel into a knife you made yourself!

Join David Spurlock for Intro to Bladesmithing this Saturday, October 3! Learn the basics of forging and create a useful, one-of-a-kind knife that can be passed down for generations. Beginners and intermediate students are welcome!

Show up at the family dinner or church supper with your homemade pie in your hand-woven pie carrier! Nestled on a 10 inch diameter slotted wood base, this pie carrier features colorful weaving and two wooden handles for easy carrying. Kits will contain all supplies needed to weave this basket. Reed colors will vary based on availability.

Looking for something to do this Saturday?

Join us October 3 for **Sunflower Watercolor Batik** with Dana Johnson! You’ll use watercolor and wax on rice paper to create a sunflower painting to take home ready for framing. Beginners and experienced painters are welcome, and all materials are included.
