“Music didn’t become my life’s work because I found it one day. The truth is, it had always been there. I just spent years not allowing myself to bring it to the surface.”
Victoria Виктория had dreamed of singing since childhood. She loved music shows, knew countless songs by heart, and would quietly sing when no one was listening. Music was her natural language — the way she wanted to express herself and connect with the world.
But she grew up believing that being seen was unsafe.
Like many people raised in families where being quiet and compliant was valued above all else, she learned early on not to draw attention to herself. Don’t be loud. Don’t cry. Don’t get angry. Don’t take up too much space.
Over time, those messages became her inner voice, and by her late teens, she had lost touch with what she truly wanted.
At 38, after working with a psychologist, she finally gave herself permission to take her first singing lesson — a decision that changed everything.
Victoria quickly realised that the voice is about far more than technique or hitting the right notes. Behind every vocal block and every fear of singing lies a personal story.
Already a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, she began combining her holistic understanding of the body and mind with modern vocal training, including Complete Vocal Technique (CVT).
Today, Victoria listens for more than sound. She notices how people breathe, hold themselves and express their emotions.
Because sometimes the challenge isn’t technical at all.
Sometimes, a person simply needs permission to be heard.
And perhaps that is the true power of music: it helps us reconnect with the part of ourselves that has always been there, waiting to be heard ❤️
