Art by Larissa

Art by Larissa Larissa Compton is a mother, a wife, and a lover of learning anything art related. She likes to try She likes to walk around random places and find cool things.

Larissa is married to the sexiest man alive (Blake Compton) and has the most beautiful imaginative daughter (Vada May Ann). She has 4 fur babies, Tusker Coy (her german shepherd/coyote mix), Luna Blu (her german short haired pointer), Meow Meow Kitty, and Bark Bark Kitty (Meow Meow's daughter). Eventually she hopes to have 6 glo fish, but the cats might try to eat them, so maybe thats not the best

idea. Her husband supports her creativity and inspires her daily with his wit, charm and just plain handsomeness. (no he did not write this) He is always there to console in and give advice that she rarely takes, but probably should. When Larissa isn't working at Sangha Yoga Studio, or doing dishes, or cleaning up dog poo, she can be found pushing paint around with a hair stick, otherwise known as a paint brush. Occasionally she will try new things, like making greeting cards, scribbling mandalas on cow skulls, wrapping wire around shiny rocks, or making necklace holders out of drift wood. She is a free spirit, let her do her thing. Born and raised in the 417, her family decided to switch it up a little whenever she was 16, and hop the pond to Nairobi, Kenya, where they would establish themselves as missionaries. Larissa moved back to the states because she thought she was ready to adult, and found out quickly that she had made a foolish mistake. She desired to become a hairstylist, but that didn't pan out, so now she makes art and does mom stuff instead, which is way cooler. (no offense to you hair peeps)

Larissa's art is influenced by a mix of Native American and the Kenyan Cultures, mainly taking inspiration from her surroundings in nature. She loves to be outside, kayaking, hiking, camping, and she really loves to stare at trees, thats what the cool kids do. She also enjoys long walks to collect rocks, shells, drift wood, or whatever shiny things catch her eye. She enjoys singing, writing, and listening to her husband as he serenades her with his sweet guitar skills. Her dreams, although many, are mainly to make a living doing what she loves, to be influential, and to travel with her art, getting to meet the most interesting of individuals and learn about their experiences and journeys so that she can better understand her own.

Today I went to .and.blossom.conference and had a blast with my friends learning about homeschooling and reframing our minds around it. Speaking of, I have always doodled during church, conferences, school, and really any kind of speaking event where I needed to retain information. I used to get in Troy me by teachers and sometimes my parents, but for the most part my parents let me. 😉 I used to have several notebooks filled with drawings and doodles from just whenever I was listening to things and when I look back through them it’s always interesting. Now I have an incredible IPad, Apple Pen (huge thanks to for that amazing gift) and that I can sit and doodle designs and ideas that I don’t have to worry about my son spilling water on and ruining 😅

“Buckets of Happy”

Another really fun design I got to be a part of as a collaborative piece between and

The concept came from a bucket of flowers and blossomed (pun intended) into this really fun design. Sean and Jill are both flower farmers and work together often. They both are incredibly sweet people with successful businesses doing what they love, farming! And it’s awesome to watch. I loved the “buckets of happy” idea, because that’s exactly what a bucket of flowers is to me too. I’ve recently discovered in the past couple years that I have a passion for flowers. They are a delightful way to show someone you care, that you’re thinking of them, that you love them, or to just brighten up your space. There’s something about picking your own flowers too, and this year I’m looking forward to growing more of my own. I would love to have a tunnel one day to grow ranunculus, poppy’s and whatever other beautiful flowers I can, that’s the dream!
