Quilting Up a Story

10/07/2026

I think it up, he makes it happen. We dig in together, but where would I be without him?!
Todd Grathwohl has worked so hard for me these last several months to see the retreat house and quilt workshop come to light. “THANK YOU” is hardly enough. Friends, give him some 👏 with me!!

Team G Wild Project Episode 2
Take a quick spin around my work space at its beginning stages.
Todd and I ‘uploaded’ all the goods and furniture from the Down Under (the basement home studio) to the new digs in town … after some Old School floor refinishing 😉.
Now to get settled in!! (I’ve already been stitching!!!!) 🤩😎

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

GUESS WHAT?!
The Retreat is happening!
Yeeeeeee! Sew Exciting!!

I’ll show you each and every part in pieces. As we work through the renovations, you’ll have a front seat view! As we share, be sure to tell all your maker friends- we’d love to get fully booked (as soon as bookings become open)!! Our target opening is early in October.

The video below was recorded before I knew the extent of our wait (I thought it’d be a couple days) 🙄 so I’m just telling you here: Team G’s Wild Project is moving the quilting studio and classroom to town and establishing a retreat house for small groups to enjoy!

We’ve been gathering furnishings for the last couple months, making official business decisions and policies, and trying to keep a healthy balance between work and rest. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m having a blast, and I suspect Todd is having a good time too.

Can’t wait to share more in the coming days and weeks!

Wild things happen when you invite your husband on a quilty scheme and he says, “Let’s do it!”

8 weeks ago I shared that we had a new story beginning…one that I couldn’t wait to tell you…one that I can start telling in TWO DAYS!!
For those that know a few of the details- I hope you’ll love what we have to show!
Mr. G and I have been planning for so long and it’s finally happening!!! Tune in Friday afternoon for Episode 1 of ‘Team G’s Wild Project’.

A few quilted beauties while you wait…

HEY QUILTY FRIENDS!! I think I’ve been time traveling and Boy Oh Boy do I have some quilty stories to tell!! 🧵
I last posted at the end of MARCH!
Then were several fun quilt shows where I met AMAZING and INSPIRING people.
APRIL was classes sharing the incredible quick curve technique to create Penelope. 😍
MAY was teaching of a different nature- Jr.High Pre-Algebra (quilt math!) and frantic catch up of projects due to faithful and new clients.
But JUNE!! Mountains were calling us to retreat! 😉 THIS is where we have a new story beginning…and I can hardly wait to TELL YOU!!

Enjoy these sample pics- I’ll share more details over the next few posts.
