The game is set in the fictional town of Calaveras and its surrounding settlements, a small frontier settlement that recently discovered the presence of lucrative ore and minerals within their local mine. about the newest settlement, ripe for the taking for those seeking fortune and adventure, and the place to cement their name in future history books. However, hushed whispers that speak of livestock having their blood drained, and random people turning up in the middle of the woods covered in scratches, unable to remember how they got there, but miles away from where they were. The game is founded, headquartered, and hosted in the state of Michigan, though it accepts attendees from anywhere and everywhere from across the U.S. With inspirations from the likes of the great literary works of Larry McMurtry, and the gritty Western pictures of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, to grand digital game worlds like Red Dead Redemption, Calaveras hopes to bring you that spark of gritty Western flair that you’ve been longing for.
