Be aware of what piercers are using to pierce you. Catheter needles are not the same as piercing needles. Beyond what this post mentions, the little tube that follows the needle into the skin is larger than the needle. Meaning it immediately stretches your piercing. Something I would never recommend for a fresh piercing. They use these because its easier for them to insert jewelry. Piercing and inserting jewelry is a skill and using the proper tools to do it is just as important.

Why does one piercer use this needle and another use this one?

Because a lot of people are getting pierced with catheter needles right now the kind made to start an IV, not to pierce.

They’re being sold as “piercing needles.”

They’re not.

A catheter needle has a tiny bevel because its whole job is sliding into a vein and leaving a soft little tube behind.

A body piercing needle has a longer, sharper bevel because its job is cutting a clean channel through actual tissue.

Different tool. Built for a completely different job.

Ask your piercer what they’re using before you sit down. It matters more than people think🩷

‼️⚠️Please read if you are looking to book an appointment!⚠️‼️

I am currently working Fridays and Saturdays by appointment only as I stay at home with my kiddos during the week.

During certain seasons I may book up full by the time the weekend comes around so I may not have availability for last minute appointments, but it doesn’t hurt to ask! Since I do tend to book up full and am away from my little ones, it is very important to me that you show up for your appointment or give me plenty of notice if you have to cancel or reschedule. If you no show or cancel at the last minute, I will require a deposit for future appointments.

Important information to know prior to booking:

-I require an ID at every piercing appointment. If you or the person you are booking for is under 18 years old, I require a parent to be present with their ID and the minor’s birth certificate.

-You cannot swim for 4 to 6 weeks minimum following a piercing as it is a major risk of infection.

-There are certain piercings that I do not do on minors and there are certain piercings that I do not do at all. The list evolves frequently so just ask if you are unsure if I offer what you are looking for.

-I have two little ones at home so some days it may take me longer to return messages. I appreciate your patience between messages.

Thank you for all of your patience through my maternity leave. It was wonderful having the time to heal and have slow days with my little ones. It was time well spent. 💖

Our bundle of joy has officially arrived! Please be patient if you message me for advice with your healing piercings, I will totally get back to you, it just may take me a while.

I plan to return sometime in June but I don't have a set day for when I am taking appointments just yet. If you would like to be on a list of people I contact when I return, please send me a message. I will contact those on the list first when I am ready to schedule my first appointments back. Otherwise watch my page for info on my return.

For now, I am throughly enjoying newborn snuggles, healing and learning how to navigate this new life with my little family.
