ATTENTION STUDENTS!

As we prepare to welcome you back to campus, we wanted to make sure you had all of the information you need about the upcoming second round of auditions for The SpongeBob Musical on September 1-3!

Please note that several of the roles in SpongeBob have already been cast. However, we are looking to cast an additional 6-9 people in the show, as well as understudies and swings.

Chicago's SixEleven Theatre Company was founded in 2016 by four CMU Theatre graduates (and their faculty director, Theatre and Dance Department Chair, Keeley Stanley-Bohn). Named after the address of their Mount Pleasant rental where they met (611 South Main St), SixEleven has spent the last ten years producing shows like Bug, Exit, Pursued by a Bear, and The Christians in Chicago's storefront theatres.

Funded in-part by the CMU Faculty and Research Creative Endeavors Grant, these productions seek to connect CMU Theatre alumni in Chicago to create raw and passionate work.

This summer, SixEleven is going one step further and producing a new work by former CMU student Madeleine Bohn. Madeleine has since gone on to study Theatre at The American Academy of the Dramatic Arts and St. John's University, and is currently pursuing her MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College in New York City.

Her debut work, Someone Else's Nowhere, will be produced at The Den Theatre in Wicker Park this July/August, and boasts a cast and crew of ten CMU alumni!

Creative Drama Immersion- College and Kids!

Actors from CMU Department of Theatre and Dance will be hosting a donation based workshop this Friday- College Theatre with Kids- CMU Creative Drama for Youth from 3-4:30 for ages 6+ and we'll be thrilled to have a full house to learn with them! The next day, come back to see them perform in A Year with Frog and Toad- CMU Theatre Weekend at 3 pm.
