The Charleston Artist Collective started as an online art gallery, www.charlestonartistcollective.org, where local Charleston area, artists can grow their potential while offering collectors access to original, affordable art. The Collective website features a new themed collection of original paintings each month. 5% of these monthly online sales benefit local area non-profits.

“My approach to creating art springs from a deep appreciation of natural beauty and the desire to communicate my perceptions with others. I paint to capture the subtle yet varied changes in nature. I do this by carefully balancing the use of color and form to create moving landscapes with a strong atmospheric feel and sense of place. My medium of choice is pastel. The rich colors and textural layering give my paintings a luminous quality that I find especially satisfying.”
