We have an open date! I have been told by a few people that when putting our new address into their GPS, it takes them to a different location. We are right next to LA Insurance.

Please note that the studio space is about half of what it was and we unfortunately cannot fit as many people as before. We will be trying our best to accommodate as much as we can.

Exciting update!
This is currently what the new space looks like after tearing down walls, patching up holes and drywalling, painting, replacing some of the flooring, and adding a doorway for the party room. There is still work to do, but it's getting so close to being ready. I have been telling folks that the open date will be sometime in July, but as of a week or so ago, I think August is more realistic. Our team is very small and the building gets worked on when people are able. I am lucky and thankful to have a group of people who have willingly sacrificed so much of their time and energy to help.

I have been learning how much work goes into remodeling and opening up the studio. It is shocking how many things need to get done or have gotten done that will go unnoticed by everyone besides the people/person who did it. There was plumbing and electrical work that has been completed, a storage closet needed new drywall, the back room needed some attention so it can serve as a functional room for firing and clear coating items, etc.

I cannot express how much I appreciate every kind comment on the last post. I was not expecting so much supportive feedback; thank you for that.

A difficult decision was made earlier this month that needs to be shared publicly. Our new location will be at 1231 North Mission in Mt. Pleasant, it's about 4 minutes away from our old location. For those who have lived in town long enough, it's in the same plaza where the SOS office used to be. I was told there was also a tattoo shop there in the 90s!

Renovations have started and a lot of progress has been made already. It is not ready yet, but we are working as much as we can to get the studio open as quickly as possible. There will still be a party room, the wall just hasn't been taken down yet! I will put a timeframe together as to when we think the studio will be open once more renovations take place.

Change is hard, and it hasn't been easy to accept that the studio will not be the same as before. There is something exciting about a fresh start though. I love the downtown atmosphere and will miss that and the routine so so much, but the studio comes first over my feelings.
