Its true. I workout to keep up with my kid and my decorating habits. These guys are heavier than they look 💀 After another 4 hours today, I am feeling it. But, if you didn't already look, the weather for next week looks terrible. So, Im extremely glad we started this week! We will be finishing details tonight and tomorrow, then breaking next week. We still need to build the ship, finishing setting scenes, setup projections, dress a few other skeletons, get out Knight Dullahan, the captain and the big guys out, so we arent done yet!

Something new has arrived! Thanks to great neighbors for selling this to us! We arent sure when we will have the fog actually on, but we just wanted to test it out. As always, keep your eyes here for more! We are just getting started (after another 2 hours tonight, 5 total today!)

After another hour and a half, the dock is in! Thankful for the Big Daddy Garden Caddy to help move all these pallets. Being able to move 3 at a time was a game changer. It takes a while to figure out the puzzle, but once its set, its great! Now onto the next part...

So, Sept 1st is actually August 24th this year. To our neighbors, we're sorry its begun a week early. Unfortunately, with both working full time starting in September, the way schedules have worked out this year, and with how long it actually takes (already 3 hours in not including redoing all the landscaping), we have to start early to hopefully have everything up and running by Sept 19th (Talk Like a Pirate Day). We hope you understand!
For anyone that likes to drive or walk by to see progress, feel free. Plan is to add a little every single day to try our best to meet our setup goal date! Its a lot for only 2 of us to do, especially with also caring for a young wild child. We truly understand its not everyone's favorite thing to stare at, but just remember, decorating is a form of art, especially the way we do it. Its not just about placing skeletons in the yard, but instead its like a play. It takes time to create costumes, scenes, and moments for people to enjoy. We hope you can see it that way, just as we do.
